Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Hi:
My boyfriend is due to lose his license 10/8 due to not showing proof of insurance on multiple occasions. We are due to move to PA 10/1. Is there a way he can obtain an ID that allows him ONLY drive back & forth to work? He would be going from PA to NJ on a Sunday and from NJ back to PA on a Tuesday. I've heard that there is such thing, but wasn't sure how it worked.
Please enlighten me.

There are no conditional or restricted licenses available in NJ. PA does have a conditional license program, but he will not be able to drive in NJ even with this PA conditional license. If your boyfriend had insurance but simply failed to produce the card at the time of the motor vehicle stop, we may be able to prevent the suspension.
