Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

My boyfriend recently called the police as a result of traveling behind someone driving wrecklessly when coming home from work. He stayed on the line with the police providing directions and information as to where this was taking place. When the police arrived, they discovered the women was drunk. He has since then received a summons to appear in court, filed by the driver, on him for careless driving. What does he need to do? He works two jobs and needs to take off from work for the day. Thank you.

This is insane. He does his civic duty and he gets cited. He needs a lawyer. Maybe the lawyer can convince the local prosecutor to withdraw prosecution.

Wow. he definitely needs to fight this ticket and this does mean to miss work unfortunately. An attorney could help him but he may be able t do it on his own based on a conversation with the prosecutor in court.
