Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Car Accident
I was in a car accident and hit a tree. My accident to me was because i think my brakes went on me.(All 4 brakes, rotors, and a replacement of my right caliperwas done in Feb 07) In the process i was issued a careless driving ticket. I pleaded not guilty. Was this a good decision?

Re: Car Accident
Of course it is, it always is. Its only a 2 point ticket, so what do you have to lose? Speak with the prosecutor and you can probably get a 0 point ticket but it will cost you twice as much.
Re: Car Accident
Actually, if you can prove the repair work which was done in February and can prove that the brakes failed as you indicate you might have a good defense.
Call me if you like.
