Car impounded by Ridgewood NJPolice
On April 2 nd 2004 I was pulled over by the Ridgewood police Dept. I lease a 2002 VW Passat. The NY State regisrtation had expired - on March 31st - I was watinf for the title to come from Chase Auto Finance to register the car in NJ (We moved from NY 6 moths b4. My car was towed and it will cost me $320 to get it back this Monday April 12th 2004. Do I have any recourse at all? My License was previously restored in the state of NJ after a piad an outstanding fine from a ticket i recieved in 1986. The police also said my license was suspended in both NY and NJ - this is not true I have documentation that proves this....
