Is there a decision or legal term that could give grounds for dismissal? Received the ticket 6 years ago, I postponed it twice for medical reasons, wife 100% disabled.
What are my options?

With a lawyer you can probably have the tickets dismissed because the officer does not remember you. You need an attorney because it is hard for you as the defendant to ask the officer if he remembers you or to cross examine him on this question if a trial becomes necessary.

Depending upon the individual circumstances of your case, specifically as to why there was such a long delay between getting the tickets and getting a court date, you may have grounds for a dismissal of the charges on speedy trial grounds. This is a fairly technical constitutional issue, so you need a trained lawyer to review the claim and determine your options. I am an attorney who has handled cases similar to yours in the past. I would be happy to review your case and discuss your options with you. There is never any charge for an initial consultation. I can be reached at 908-272-0111. Give me a call to discuss this in more detail. Thank you. Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
