Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Crossing Double Yellow Line

At my home town, I got a traffic violation ticket due to ''improper passing double yellow line''. But on my ticket, the statute number is 39.4-86, which is supposed to be 39.4-85. Can I use this error code excuse to argue in the court?

Re: Crossing Double Yellow Line

The prosecutor will be allowed to amend the complaint to fix the error since it is just the statute number. If you need representation for your ticket, please call 732-286-2170.

This is considered to be just a procedural error and can be fixed in court by the prosecutor. Anyway you look at it, both 39:4-85 and 39:4-86 are 4 point tickets so the same penalties apply.I am an attorney who has handled cases similar to yours many times in the past. Please call me at 908-272-0111 to discuss your case and to see what I can do to assist you in this matter. Thank you. Sincerely yours, - Ronald Aronds, Esq. -
