Re: driving with no license--FTA?
If you have an open ticket with a court for failing to appear (FTA)to answer a charge of driving with no license then it will remain indefinitely on your NJ driver's abstract until satisfied with the court in question.
The same is true of a conviction it will remain on record but that should not mastter unless you are under disability to apply for a new license; but you can remain suspended for failure to satisfy a traffic summons if that is the issue. Often the the State is willing to amend the charge or the officer may no longer be available to testify. They will sometimes dismiss with a contempt fine. These arrangements can be made by hiring a NJ lawyer to handle the charges via affidavit without your having to set foot in NJ. You are not clear what the actual reason for your question might be or the circumstances leading to your concern about this matter. Please give a better description about the nature of your need, the status of the matter, for example, did you ever answer the summons, etc?
Re: driving with no license
Once a traffic summons is issued to a driver it remains pending until it is heard in court. If you failed to appear in court you can not benefit from failing to appear in court by having it become void after a period of time.
You can have the ticket resolved by hiring an attorney who would appear in court on your behalf, without your being present, but with your affidavit authorizing the attorney to
act on your behalf. An extremely old traffic summons may be difficult for the State to support.

Is it pending or did you plea? Your question is a little vague.
