Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Driving after License Suspended or Revoked
I had a lapse in payment of a municipal fine, my license was suspended due to this. I was pulled over and ticketed for suspended license. The fine is payed in full, do the same laws still apply or is there some other classification for this? Am I now covered by a diffrent law?Not driving while suspended or revoked.

Re: Driving after License Suspended or Revoked
If you got a ticket for driving while suspended you have to address that ticket in court. There may be a way to beat this ticket on lack of proper notice grounds, but I would have to see all of the evidence in the case first. Please call me to discuss this further. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Re: Driving after License Suspended or Revoked
If the fine is paid in full, you should be able to restore your license, if you have not done so already. If you are restored, an attorney may be able to convince the prosecutor to amend your ticket to a less serious charge, one that does not carry a loss of license. I would be happy to discuss this with you.

Re: Driving after License Suspended or Revoked
It is a matter of whether you knew you were suspended by the Court BEFORE you were charged with driving while suspended.
Call me if you like.
