Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

driving while suspended

I was pulled over while suspended last night (suspended on dwi). My wife and I switched driving duties because on the way home from a party we realized she should not be driving, her license is in good standing. I am assuming the officer that pulled us over ran my plate and saw my vehicle was on the suspended list. Is there a chance for leniency on this charge. Thank You.

Re: driving while suspended

The only leniency that can be given is in the range of time for the additional license suspension (one to two years) and the amount of jail time you would have to serve (10 to 90 days). You should probably hire a lawyer to argue your case for you. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
