Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

expired driver's license
I just asked a question about my sister getting stopped and her license was expired. She has since gotten it renewed. I wanted to know if she can just show it in court or will she still get fined? I am writing now because she was stopped for no reason. Is that legal? There were 3 cars on the road - one in front of her and one behind. the cop pulled over the first car and then motioned for the other two to stop too. When she asked the cop if she did something wrong, the cop just said, license, registration and insurance. After she realized her license was expired, she didn't even ask why she was stopped.

I doubt she'll have a problem. If she gets to court and has a problem, I would ask for time to get an attorney.
