Fail to exhibit Registration

I was pulled over by officer saying my head light is off. but when he asked my registration card, I could not produced because I forgot it home.I have valid registration and valid insurance. but I have to pay 200$ fine just not to have when officer asked me. Can I ask court to reject the ticket as this is my very first offence.

jUDGE HAS DISCRETION TO DISMISS TICKET, AND IMPOSE COURT COSTS--ONLY IF U COME W/PROOF OF VALID REGISTRATION ON DAY OF COURT. YOU MUST FIRST SPEAK TO PROSECUTOR TO SEE IF JUDGE WILL GO FOR IT. SOME DO, SOME DON'T BUT LAW SAYS THEY HAVE THE CHOICE TO DO IT.
