Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Failure to keep right
I was driving in the left lane doing the speed limit on route 1 at 3:20am. A vehicle came up behind me and I pulled into the right lane. The other vehicle also pulled into the right lane and activated his lights. The officer gave me a ticket for failure to keep right. This happened in a ''safe corridor'' which means penalties and fines are doubled. Is there anyway to fight this? There were very few other vehicles on the road and I was not obstructing traffic.
