Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Failure to Yield Right of Way

I made a left turn on a green on a night with heavy rain. Another car hit me. I could swear they didn't have their headlights on or I would have seen them. I was ticketed for failure to yield right of way. They have a witness. Should I plead guilty or not? Thanks

Re: Failure to Yield Right of Way

If you made the turn when you had the green light and the other car hit you, then you should probably not plead guilty. You can take the case to trial and have a good chance of winning your claim. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
