Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Improper Turn Ticket With Error
I got a ticket for an improper turn at traffic light with a NO TURNS sign. The officer has written the wrong license plate number on the citation/ticket. I pleaded not guilty and now have a trial in a couple of days. Can i get the case dismissed if the license plate on the citation does'nt match mine, by saying that the car which the officer thinks took the wrong turn is not mine. Please advice on how to handle this case as i have'nt hired any attorney and will be speaking for myself.

Re: Improper Turn Ticket With Error
Lets back up here a second. Were you pulled over? If so, the officer can easily say it was you. However, if you knew you actually made a turn when you weren't supposed to, wouldn't it be a lie to say that the officer had the wrong person?
I suggest you get an attorney to work this out for you before you get yourself in even more trouble.
