Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Can No Insurance Charges be Dismissed?

I received tickets for driving without insurance, driving on a suspended license and suspended registration. I am concerned about losing my license. I am not sure that I will be able to work, much less take care of my family - who is in serious crisis at the moment. I have read that the law mandates a 12 year loss of license along with miscellanous surcharges. What can I do to help my situation? Is there any way of having these charges dismissed or have the sentence suspended due to my situation?

Re: Can No Insurance Charges be Dismissed?

Your situation does not seem to excuse what you are alleged to have done, so I don't see a prosecutor really caring about that. You may also be facing some jail time, but that will depend on your driving history.

This is one of those situations where I don't see you having much luck if you go on your own. I frequently practice in the Trenton area and would be more than happy to help you. Please contact my office so we can discuss your case.
