Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
I was issued a summons for driving on a closed road. The court appearance required box was not checked to indicate that I need to appear in court. I received a separate notice from the court indicating that I need to appear in court. The notice was computer generated with 'court required' handwritten on the notice. Must I appear in court?

If you guess wrong your license will be suspended and a warrant will be issued for your arrest. Frankly, there is nothing to guess about. The notice from the court changes whatever is on the ticket. Ignore the notice to your peril
You probably do, but why not just call the Court to confirm that you need to appear. Just as Mr. Moore said, if you ignore it the Court may issue a warrant for arrest and it will result in your license being suspended. Better to be safe rather than sorry.
Yes I would appear in court with an attorney. Call my office to set up an appointment.
