Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
leaving the scene of accident
someone was driving my car and hit something, a cement guardrail and than left the scene. There is damage to car and we reported over the phone to police, they said we could file a citizen complaint- what is that? and is it necessary?

To protect yourself, I suggest you do it. Go down to the police station to file it.
