Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

license

i have a careless driver on my license. Now i cannot get a job. the cop just said no need to go to court just pay. I belive I was misrepresented

Are you saying you have already pled guilty or that you are going to plead guilty? If it is the latter, do not plead guilty. If you sent in a guilty plea with a check, I can reverse that.

The police officer likely was not also a lawyer, so it's unfortunate that you took legal advice from him. I advise you to call the court and see if there is any way they will let you take back your guilty plea and set a new court date for you. If they will, then please call me. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
