Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

didn't know license was suspended

I got a ticket for driving while suspended but I didn't know it was suspended. A deer hit my car and I called the police to report it. They had to fill out a report and when they ran my DL, it came suspended for unpaid parking ticket. I never received any notices. I paid the parking ticket and restoration fees the next day but have to appear in local court for the summons. I intend to plea not guilty and discuss with prosecutor. What fines am I facing?

Your license can be suspended if you plead guilty or are found guilty of driving while suspended. You should at least discuss your case with an attorney before you go to court.

Call me if you like.
