Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
minor collision
I was pulling out of my parking space. A car pulled into a spot behind me. When I saw they were in their spot, I backed out. She did the same and there was an impact, we were both going under 5mph. There didn't seem to be any damage, but we exchanged numbers in case. Can she trump up charges after the fact? How should I protect myself?

Re: minor collision
Yeah, of course. It does happen. You can report it to your insurance company so that they are aware of it and can investigate it.
