Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

NJ Improper Backing on Private Property After Fact

Can a NJ local town Police Officer mail a ticket of Improper Backing, offense # 39:4-127, after everyone leaves the scene, which was on PRIVATE Property? A police report was created at the scene, and the police officer did NOT issue the ticket on the scene at the time. The other party is the owner of the store property where the alleged offense happened. The store owner's parked car was the other involved car. THANKS.

It appears that you are not talking about your private property and that might be a difference, but on the other hand shouldn't other vehicles and their occupants be safe from your improper backing everywhere.

Call me if you like.
