Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

NJ provisional license careless driving

Hi, I am 18 years old with a PDL, I will receive my real Drivers license on June 12th. I was driving my friend home about 3 days ago and I got pulled over by a cop for doing 63 on a 50. I will have to pay 85 dollars and get two point. Is there a chance of me going to court and trying to get the point off by paying more money. I would rather pay more than get points and I am scared of getting my license taken away. Is there anything I can do? Will i get my liscense taken away? (It will suck! I commute to college!) I am so close to getting my real one on june 12th and the court date is June 9th! My dad is going to kill me! thank you for your time.

They just changed the law to prevent you from reducing it to no points so you may have to win the case to avoid points.

Under a recent Attorney General directive, driver's with a provisional license cannot get their tickets with points changed down to zero points as part of a plea bargain.
