Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Non-moving traffic violation

I was issued 3 tickets in New Jersey: no car insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle, and improper display/unclear plates. I failed to appear in court because I now live in LA. August 18 I received a letter saying that I've been issued a second court date set for August 20. It's impossible for me to get to New Jersey to appear, as I now live in Louisiana. If I fail to appear and fail to pay these tickets, will I be arrested? Can a lawyer appear for me?

Yes, the court can issue, and maybe already has issued, an arrest warrant for your failure to appear in court. And yes, a lawyer in New Jersey can represent you in the New Jersey court without you having to appear. I do very many cases for out of state residents by affidavit, and could do the same for you.
