Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Overtime Meter Parking Violation

On 6/30/07 I received an Overtime Meter Parking Violation in Keansburg, NJ. My meter had time until 7:26 pm and the ticket was written 7:34 pm as I was returning to put more money in the meter.

The court date, as written on the ticket, is 6/12/07. Clearly I cannot abide by their order because the court date is in the past.

Can this error be considered a violation of my right to a court date and void this ticket? Should I be responsible for pointing out their error? Comments?

Thanks.

Re: Overtime Meter Parking Violation

I think your time is better spent worrying about other thing in your life. Call the court and make arrangements to pay the ticket.
