Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

parking lot accident

I was pulling out of the US Post office Parking slot and I colided with another car who was trying to take my spot. The police officer was called and he gave me a ticket and found me guilty of the accident even though he did not see the accident. What do I do.

Re: parking lot accident

What do you mean when you say "guilty of the accident"? Do you mean he wrote you a ticket for careless driving? You may have a valid defense, particularly if he wasn't there, but I would need a little more info before I can give you any kind of definitive answer. Re: parking lot accident

I take it to mean that he figured you were at fault and gave you the ticket. I see this all the time. We had one not too long ago and got the client's ticket dismissed. I would have to see the accident report before I can tell you exactly what I could do for you. I suggest you get an attorney since you may not get far by yourself.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss the case.
