Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

I passed a stopped school bus by mistake(In NJ). I then stopped and let any children who needed to cross the street cross. If a police officer did not witness the offense, what penalties are possible? And,would it be wise to go to the same bus driver and say sorry the next day. I was going to tell him sorry immediately after, but by that time he had left

The bus driver can write you a ticket and they often do. Saying sorry is not going to make the ticket go away. If you get one in the mail, call an attorney.

If you do not receive a ticket, then you should just forget about it. If for some reason you do, I would be happy to speak with you about your situation. passing a school bus carries 5 motor vehicle points so obtaining tha assistance of an attorney could help, please feel free to call with any other questions.
