Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
I have my provisional license and received one ticket for careless driving. I went to court and got the 2 points i was suppose to receive taken away. Recently, I received a speeding ticket for going 53 in a 35 and i am suppose to receive 4 points for this. What will happen if I go to court for this? Will I have my license taken away? (Remember I have 0 points, but already received a ticket in the past)

This MAY be reduced to a 2 point speeding ticket, but with a provisional license that is the best you could get. The judge has the right to suspend your license, but probably won't. However, due to the fact that you have a moving violation within your provisional period the Motor Vehicle Commission can either give you a warning that you will have your license suspended if you get any more points, or may actually suspend your license. See N.J.S.A. 39:3-13.4(d).
