Ran my tags, then pulled me over
Can the police run your tags and then pull you over because they find that you are an unlicensed driver if there has been no probable cause or any moving violation?

The Courts have now held that, in accordance with the "general caretaker" obligations of the police, they can run tags and, if suspended, pull the driver over. This is the general rule.
