Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
I received a ticket for "no turns" on market street in Newark nj coming off of Broad Street. The summons fell under a CITY ORDINANCE violation schedule. Ord no. 23:3-1. It is a 77.00 ticket and Court appearance is NOT required. Should i just pay this ticket? i am worried about points on my license and points on my insurance. Does this offense carry points? should i go to court and try to get it plead down. thanks

Usually an ordinance violation is not reported to the NJDMV. Call the court clerk and ask if there are any points associated with this ordinance and if so wether it is reported to the NJDMV, which is doubtful.
