Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

I recieved an automated traffic ticket through ALPR, the ticked had court appearace required checked, along with a date and time. When I arrived at court I was informed that I needed to call for a court date, since the document clearly states a time and date, and has no reference to calling, does this mean the PROSECUTION had missed the court appearance, and is judegment now in my favor?

No it does not mean that. You still need to cal the Court and schedule a new date and come to Court to speak with the Prosecutor. An initial date on a ticket is usually a control date for someone to plead guilty or not guilty. The Prosecutor did not issue the ticket and he or she is not responsible for scheduling the case so abandon that line of thinking. good luck, feel free to call with any questions (201)-342-5030
