More than twenty mile per hour over the speed limit is five points. Hire an attorney. You could lose your license.

Speeding in a 65 mph zone carries additional penalties. Would be happy to explain the potential points/fines to you. 973/985-0597.

This is a FOUR point ticket for going 22 miles per hour over the speed limit. Because it was in a 65 mile per hour zone, if you plead to a reduced speed the fines will be doubled. If you are able to get it down to a second Unsafe Driving ticket the fines and surcharges could equal more than five hundred dollars. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail and to see how I can help you. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-

As a former municipal court judge, I can tell you that your choices are to plead to a second unsafe driver offens, which would cost about $500 in fine and costs, or plead down the speeding ticket to 14 miles over which would give you two points and cost about $200 in fine and costs. You should have an attorney to make sure this happens. An attorney will cost you about $750 to appear in court. The third choice is to have a trial and fight the ticket, but it is very difficult and unlikely that you can win a radar case and that would cost you about $1,500 in legal fees with no guarantee.
