Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Red Light-Wrong info
I was stopped for running a red-light which I did not, I was given a tkt the cop put my fathers name on the tkt instead of mine but put my license number, also he put the weather as dry & clear, in fact it has been raining all day. Any chance of a dismissal. I live in town and have not gotten a tkt in over 10 yrs, the cop was v/ young and seemed new on the job.

Re: Red Light-Wrong info
This is another question that comes up all the time. Errors in the ticket can be corrected. The right person has been put on notice of the proper offense. However, the fact that you did not run the red light is the bigger issue. I suggest you get an attorney to work on that issue. My consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 and we can discuss your case.
Good luck!
Re: Red Light-Wrong info
it wil be difficult to get it dismissed. The judge will in all likelihood, amend the name to your name since the cop got the drivers lic. number right Your best bet is to try to plead the offense down to a no point ticket. Good luck. If you need a lwayer, let me know.
