Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Sleeping in a parked car in Wildwood NJ
My son who is 17 slept in his friends car overnight. He has a complaint / summons for sleeping in rear sear of a truck. I did not know he was doing this, or I would have paid for a hotel room for him. What kind of fine might he get. The ticket says statute 4-2.2

Re: Sleeping in a parked car in Wildwood NJ
I suggest you call the court. I doubt this is a big deal as it is not even a criminal offense. They may have a standard fine for this or they may fine him up to $2000. Thus, he may want an attorney. While I practice everywhere in NJ, I don't think it makes sense to hire me for this. I know a good attorney in the Wildwood area that could help you. Just give me a call.
