No, my understanding is you can't plea bargain these.

No, However what he can do is pay the ticket, get two points, and then take an online Defensive Driving course which would eliminate these two points once he successfully completed the course.

The only thing that you can do is either pay the ticket or he can take it to trial if he feels that he is not guilty. The only shot is if your son is close to his 18th birthday. Generally you cannot plead the ticket down to a no point violation if the provisional driver is under 18. I am representing someone in this situation who got a ticket for allegedly running a stop sign which is also a 2 point ticket. He received the ticket in August and he will be 18 in December, The prosecutor has agreed to push off the case until mid December and said he would offer a no point downgrade at that time. Question is how far away is your son from his 18th birthday and would the prosecutor agree to delay the case until your son could become eligible for such a downgrade. It is also a question of whether it is worth all the aggravation or do what Mr. Aronds suggests. If you have any other questions, please feel free to call (201)-894-9498, otherwise good luck
