Re: Speeding Ticket

No, you can't get the ticket dismissed based on this error by the officer. To find out when you have to pay the ticket by, call the municipal court where the summons was issued from and they will tell you. Keep in mind though that if you just pay this ticket you will get four points on your driver's license. You might want to consider speaking with a lawyer before you do this. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. Re: Speeding Ticket

The officer may not have known the date to appear. You should call the municipal court to find out the hearing date. The failure to provide a notice of the date to appear is not a basis for dismissing the complaint.

Re: Speeding Ticket

As the other attorneys said, you should speak to an attorney to discuss the legal issues. The court date has nothing to do with the ticket itself.
