Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Out of State Driving in New Jersey
I am sixteen years old and have my learner's permit. My grandmother, a Pennsylvania resident, has loaned me her car to practice and take my test with. Do I have to register the car and have it insured in New Jersey before I can drive with it here?

Re: Out of State Driving in New Jersey
The car should be insured. If the car is in New Jersey for only a few weeks it need not be registered here, but it should be registered in Pennsylvania.
Perhaps you should call me Monday morning so that I can ask you a few questions.
