Statute of Limitations or ''expiration''

Is there a Statute of Limitations (or similar time expiration) between a time a ticket is issued and when it is still enforceable. I was told by one attorney that I consulted that it is 12 years. But wanted to verify that this is indeed the case. (Offense, Driving while suspended if that matters. Also have never left the State so their should be no ''hold'' on term for not being in jurisdiction).

I agree with Mr. Moore, 12 years has nothing to do with anything. I suggest you see an attorney ASAP to discuss the issue.

Once you are issued a traffic summons the burden is on ;you to appear in court and should you fail to appear a warrant is normally issued for your arrest and your driving privileges in New Jersey are suspended. There is no time limit if the delay is a result of your failure to appear in court as required.

Call me if you like. Clearing up old traffic summonses is something I do a lot of.
