Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Getting Stopped
I had gotten stopped from an officer from Elmwood Park in Saddlebrook. He issued a speeding ticket and even wrote on the ticket the violation happened in Saddlebrook. Can I fight this just by saying he was out of his jurisdiction? Does NJ allow inter-jurisdictional enforcement actions?

Re: Getting Stopped
If he was in pursuit of you from within his own jurisdiction then he can issue you this ticket. I am an attorney who has handled very many cases similar to yours in various municipal courts throughout New Jersey in the past. I would like to discuss your case with you in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

If you want to fight this ticket, you should get an attorney. This is no defense to this ticket.
