Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Ticket on private property?
I was in a WaWa(convient store) parking lot and brushed up against the car next to me while parking. The officer gave me a ticket for careless driving. I though the could not issue a ticket for something that happened on private property.

Re: Ticket on private property?
Its not really private as it is open to the public. If this was on your farm, it would be a different story. If what you said was true, then you could speed through shopping centers, etc. This is a 2 point ticket so you may not need an attorney. However, if you just wanna do everything you can to make sure you don't get any points, you may want to get an attorney. Because its such a minor ticket, it shouldn't cost you much at all. My consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 and we'll discuss your case.
Good luck!
