One never knows how well he or she will be able to handle a matter in Court. You do not state the reason you got the tickets. There may be things to do before you go to Court that will limit your financial liability or the chance of jail time. An experienced Municipal Court lawyer will give you, if nothing else, peace of mind knowing you did everything you can to avoid severe consequences.

Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. Since it appears that you have not retained an attorney, before you take any further action, you should contact an experienced Municipal Court attorney to discuss your matter in more detail. Only then will you be able to rely on the advice. Good luck! Rob Gleaner

I would need to know what the tickets were for before I could give you a definite answer. Paying the warrants however does not equal paying the fines. When you post bail on the warrants the court holds the money until the case is resolved to ensure that you will appear in court, and not disappear for 11 years like the last time. If you are found guilty of any of the charges, you can use the money that you posted on the warrants to pay the fines if you want. Please call me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

you should get a lawyer. like my predecessors I do not know what the tickets are for but a lawyer may be able to speak to the Court to potentially minimize the amount of money that you need to post to lift the warrants. If they are from the same town, there may be a way to get the Court to agree for you to only have to post money for one or two of the warrants. $500,00 is not a lot of money by the way to handle the case. Once the warrants have been lifted and a Court date has been scheduled an experienced municipal Court lawyer can help to effectively work the case out to minimize the damage. Again I would need more info to give you a complete answer. However, I am an experienced municipal Court attorney who would be happy to speak with you more at lenght to discuss how I can be of assistance to you, please feel free to call. (201)-894-9498
