Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

old traffic violations

I'm on the NDR in N.J. for driving under suspension, no reg. & no ins. in 1997. I never had a N.J. license. I was sus. in N.C. I spoke to a clerk in East Greenwich Township who told me if I sent 300.00 it would take care of the tickets. After sending the money I received a summons to appear in court. I called her back right away to ask why. She then denied giving me that info and stated that the 300.00 was for my bail so the warrant could be lifted and a court date set. I reside in Lebanon, PA. I cannot afford to travel to N.J. I do need to obtain a PA. license. In 1997 I was selling Encyclopedia Britannica and was traveling in Germany for most of that year. I do not recall recieving any notice of any court date back then. Is there any way I can resolve this without appearing in court for 11 year old traffic tickets.

Re: old traffic violations

These tickets can be handled without your appearing in court personally. I handle NJ tickets for out of state residents frequently by appearing in court with an affidavit from the client allowing me to proceed without them being physically present. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
