Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Warrent and arrest issued

I had a traffic violation back in Jan 31st 1997 and paid all of my fines now they are sending me a notice of warrant for arrest issued because they say I didn't pay my fines. I have copies of all my payments and I don't understand why they are doing this to me.

I am prepared to call them and fax them the copies of the payments but leagaly I'm not sure if I need some legal form to go with them.

Could you please advise me on what to do. I received this warrant in the mail yesterday, July 2nd 2001

Thank you for your time,

Gary Russick

Re: Warrent and arrest issued

If there really is a mistake and you paid the fines, just call the Court and advise them of such and that you can fax proof. You may find that the specific tickets they're writing about relate to something else or that you have another matter out there.

If straightening things out with the Court doesn't work out or you wind up going to Court on other charges and would like to consider hiring an attorney, feel free to contact me at (856)616-8080 or [email protected].
