Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

My wife recieved a parking ticket in the mail, dated 1/21/2011, for "no parking for snow removal " (title 39:4-138g.) Issued at 6:45 am. It had snowed aproximately 4" the previous night. We live on a busy, main street, but well away from the main part of town. There are no signs posted anywhere on the street that say " no parking when snow covered" or any other signs in reguards to parking. Her car was parked very close to our home overnight and was removed at 7am when she left for work. It is only a $54 ticket, but I feel that it is not justified since she nor myself believe she violated any law.

I would like to know if she can challege this ticket, and not have to pay.

By the way, I have a video of the three block leading from the train station in our home, past our house and to the next side street, that shows that there are no signs.

You can challenge any ticket, even a parking ticket. However whether or not your wife will have to pay it is up to the Judge. Why don't you contact the Court, plead not guilty ask for a Court date, speak to the Prosecutor respectfully explaining your position and if he or she will not agree to dismiss it or make an offer to your satisfaction, you can go to trial, then the Court will decide if you are right or not, good luck
