Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

i got a wreckless driving ticket from an off duty cop. i think i turned in from of him changing lanes and he got mad. honking his horn and tailgating me bad. its goes on for about 10 min before he pulls side of me and shows a badge. i was really mad before he showed me the badge then i felt scared and stupid for the whole thing. Any advise. What can they do if they have no proof?

The ticket is 5 points, but basically it is your word against his and he and you are the only witnesses. There is no guarantee about anything, but you may want to consider rolling dice. for purposes of a plea the prosecutor would probably consider downgrading the ticket to careless which is only 2 points, it depends how much this guy objects, It certainly does not sound like he was very professional about the whole situation and acted improperly.
