Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Yesterday I was dropping my Dad off at the train station in his car. I pulled into a handicapped parking spot and helped him onto the train. He does have a handicapped placard but it was not in the car at the time. As I was walking back to the car, which was about 3 minutes later, the parking guy blocked me in and told me he was calling the cops. The cop came and issued me a ticket. A court appearance is required. Can I fight this or should I not even try? Will the officer who issued the ticket be at my court appearance?

Take the current registration and your dad's handicap card to court and show it to the prosecutor. The ticket will probably be dismissed by the prosecutor when you explain.
