Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

Administor of will expires, what then

I am administrator for my brothers estate. If after the one year that I am bonded out expires and no one rebonds me out again for another year what happens to the estate as far having authority to try to liquidate the estate

Re: Administor of will expires, what then

I have never heard of the situation you describe [but the vast majority of my estate administration work is with decedent's who had a Will and therefore had no need to obtain an Administrator's bond].

Why wouldn't the current bonding company just send you another premium for the next year's bond? They are going to require the beneficiaries to sign releases and refunding bonds or the Court will need to approve your estate accounting in any case.
