If your aunt had a will, and if the will has been probated, you can obtain a copy from the Surrogate's Court in the county where your aunt lived at the time of her death. If you are an heir at law, or you are named in the will, the executor is required by law to provide you with a copy of the will.

You need more information. Was there a will? Did someone take the Will to the Courthouse, to the Surrogate for the County where you aunt was living when she passed away? Was an Executor appointed? an executor is the person named in the will to take care of handling your aunt's property after she dies.

If no one has told you that there was a will, or that an Executor was appointed, then you will need to find out what is going on. You will need to ask questions like: Where was your aunt's house, nearby or far away? If near, then you will be able to get involved pretty easily, and find out what is going on.

Give me a call, we will talk it over, and try to answer some of these things for you. The phone call and the first appointment in my office will be free, and after we talk you can decide what you would like to do.
