Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

Benificiary Rights

My wife is benificary in her GrandMother's will. Her Aunt is executrix. Aunt says she has to go to Lawyer's and sign papers which should have been done 2 months ago. Does she get paid out of the money left to a benificary and what legal course does my Wife have to expidiate the close of this matter?

Re: Benificiary Rights

I would need more information to answer your question. I would also need to see a copy of the will to determine what your wife's interest is.

Re: Benificiary Rights

You do not describe what forms are involved. How much your wife is to get, the size of the estate or any other facts. It may be that she is getting a specific dollar amount and needs to sign a refunding bond and release. She should not sign it unless she gets the check at the same time. Is she is to get something more, she should have the papers reviewed by an attorney so she is sure she is getting all she is entitled to receive.
