Changing My Will
Unless your Will specified that the bequest to your daughter was effective only if she survived you, her share would go the her "issue" meaning her children, grandchjildren, etc. The wording of this can be tricky so I'd suggest seeing a NJ attorney to make sure.
when should you change your will
Whenever events occur, such as the death of a spouse or child, birth of a child, a change in financial situation, and generally at least every 5 years or so, you should have your will and your life situation reviewed. You should consult a probate and trust lawyer who gives advice about will plans in your local area.
