Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

with eight children, my mother did not leave a will

my mother died and didn't leave a will.My brother and I are the administraters. He's not letting me in on anything that he's doing, because he's trying to keep the house for himself. He's let his children and our baby sister move into mom's house, with her children so that I can't sell it.Him and my baby sister let the car company take one of mom's car back just to keep me from driving it,while she drives the other one. It has turned into such a mess that my other brother and sister's don't want to be bothered. they say that since I am the administrater I am supposed to do something and I don't have the money and I don't know where to start. What can I do to stop my brother from being the other administrater so that we can sell the house and divide the proceeds. If I can't do that how can I stop them

from doing what they want. I am the oldest and I was trying not to hurt them in any way but they are making it hard.

they are the two youngest.

Re: with eight children, my mother did not leave a will

You will probably have to bring a suit to have him removed as co-administrator. As part of this suit you will allege the problems and conflicts he has created. You may need to include supporting Affidavits or Certifications of the other siblings. You should have an attorney assist you. Since this represents the protection and preservation of the estate, attorneys fees are paid out of the estate assets. You will probably have to find an attorney who will take the case on a contingency since you have no funds to front the costs. More information is needed to assist you and to make further recommendations.
